Louis Vuitton x Singer Porsche 911: Reimagining the Journey

Louis Vuitton and Singer Vehicle Design have unveiled one of the most compelling collaborations in the automotive world as part of the 2026 Monterey Car Week. The result of this meeting of two distinct design worlds, the Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer – Classic and Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer – Classic Turbo reinterpret the timeless Porsche 911 through Louis Vuitton’s culture of travel, leather craftsmanship, and watchmaking heritage. The two one-of-a-kind Louis Vuitton Porsche 911s stand out not only for their approach to automotive design, but also for the way they explore the idea of the journey itself. Singer’s engineering philosophy, rooted in reimagining the classic Porsche 911, meets Louis Vuitton’s tradition of crafting objects for travel and its longstanding savoir-faire. The collaboration began with a surprisingly simple idea: Singer approached Louis Vuitton to create a bespoke dashboard clock for one of its cars. Over time, that initial request evolved into a comprehensive design collaboration that would extend across almost every detail of the automobile.

Louis Vuitton x Singer Porsche 911 Classic

The Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer – Classic places Louis Vuitton’s heritage of travel at the heart of the project. Built on the 964 platform and featuring Singer’s signature engineering, the car references Louis Vuitton’s distinctive visual language through a bespoke palette of saffron, cobalt blue, and yellow tones. A custom carrier system further demonstrates that the design extends well beyond aesthetics. Designed to accommodate a Louis Vuitton trunk, surfboard, or ski set, the structure transforms the automobile into a true object of travel. The specially crafted Louis Vuitton luggage continues this approach, creating a seamless connection between the car and the journey it is designed to accompany.

Inside, Louis Vuitton’s craftsmanship becomes even more apparent. Leather surfaces feature details inspired by the maison’s malletage technique, while the air vents take on forms reminiscent of the brand’s iconic Monogram flower. Across the dashboard and metal elements, the precision of watchmaking comes to the fore, bringing another layer of Louis Vuitton’s savoir-faire into the cabin.

The Louis Vuitton Tambour Watch in the Porsche 911

One of the most distinctive details of the Louis Vuitton and Singer collaboration is the mechanical clock integrated into the Porsche 911’s dashboard. Developed at Louis Vuitton’s La Fabrique des Temps, the timepiece draws inspiration from the maison’s iconic Tambour watches. Yet it is far more than an accessory built into the dashboard. The mechanical clock can be removed from the car and used independently as a table clock, turning Louis Vuitton’s expertise in watchmaking into an integral part of the Porsche 911 experience. The same design language continues across the speedometer, tachometer, and other instruments. From the buttons, keys, and locks to the ventilation components, the meticulous metalwork brings the precision and attention to detail of fine watchmaking into every element of the automobile.

Louis Vuitton Porsche 911 Classic Turbo

The second model, the Porsche 911 Reimagined by Singer – Classic Turbo, offers a more refined, nautical-inspired interpretation of the Louis Vuitton x Singer collaboration. Its Cabriolet body, Calcaire Lutétien-toned exterior, and wood detailing give the car the character of a classic motor yacht. Shaped in part by Nicolas Ghesquière, Artistic Director of Louis Vuitton’s Women’s Collections, the design brings together leather, wood, and metal in a considered balance. Light-toned leather surfaces and warm wood accents complement the Porsche 911’s sporting character with a more sophisticated vision of travel. Bespoke Louis Vuitton trunks and travel accessories created alongside the Classic Turbo complete the composition. At this point, the automobile becomes more than a standalone design object. It takes its place at the centre of an experience that extends beyond the car itself, embracing the journey in its entirety.

Singer Vehicle Design and the Legacy of the Porsche 911

What makes the Louis Vuitton x Singer collaboration particularly distinctive is the way both brands approach the past. Rather than simply restoring classic Porsche 911 models, Singer Vehicle Design reinterprets their design, mechanical architecture, and use of materials through the lens of contemporary technology. Louis Vuitton, meanwhile, considers its heritage of travel and the objects created for the journey to be an essential part of its identity. When these two perspectives come together, the result is a Porsche 911 that does not simply replicate the past, but reimagines it through a contemporary design language. In this sense, the Louis Vuitton Porsche 911 project represents far more than a conventional brand collaboration bringing two logos together on a single automobile. Singer’s engineering, Louis Vuitton’s leather craftsmanship, watchmaking expertise, and heritage of travel become interconnected elements of a single design process—one that ultimately transforms the Porsche 911 into an expression of both brands’ approach to craftsmanship, heritage, and the journey ahead.

Louis Vuitton x Singer Porsche 911: Otomobilden Fazlası

The two Porsche 911s designed by Louis Vuitton and Singer offer a different perspective on how the idea of the luxury automobile has evolved. The watch, luggage, helmet, driving gloves, clothing, surfboard, and skis all become part of the same design narrative. The idea is not simply to create a more exclusive Porsche 911, but to design the entire experience—from the automobile itself to the objects that accompany the journey. This is where Louis Vuitton’s heritage of travel intersects with Singer’s approach to the Porsche 911. Unveiled at the 2026 Monterey Car Week, the Louis Vuitton x Singer Porsche 911 Classic and Classic Turbo stand out not merely as two bespoke automobiles, but as projects where two distinct design cultures meet around a shared idea of travel. One is rooted in engineering, the other in craftsmanship, yet both point to the same idea: a well-designed journey is shaped not only by its destination, but by every detail that accompanies you along the way.
